WHY I LOVE IT?

This open wide street runs along the Tama river, and it gives me more than an enough length to keep going. There is a BBQ area and baseball courts, so you see many families and group of young people. The ground is a bit rough, but not too bad.

I usually go there after noon and leave before it gets dark. My favorite part of this Futako day is going to a dinner at Yakitori Yamabuki afterwards. I randomly found it on the very first day and now I'm a royal customer. Taisho (master chef) is really cool and they even try to speak English to you. They don't have a English menu but you can just point out the skewers you want to eat in the case.

TIPS

  • It is a very family friendly area, so be aware that you are sharing a street with runners and walkers.
  • Leaving a bag on the side is no problem. It is a very safe area, but try to check on it once in a while.
  • It gets really dark at night (no lights), so I go there early and try to leave before 6PM.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Shibuya, take Hanzomo-line and get off Futakoshinchi. Don't get off at Futakotamagawa (one station before). The name of the spot is Futakotamagawa but the closest station is not. Get out at the East exit, and then go straight towards to the super market(2F). Go up on the escalator and go to the aisle on the left side of the super market. Across the street with lights adn go down stairs facing the river. Then you are there!

Hope you'll like the spot! Have a great ride.
